So well written, Don, and I love seeing your mom. I remember tea with my mother and sister in the Palm Court in what may have been the late 70’s…and I won’t forget Eloise, one of the Plaza’s most famous guests even if she’s fictional! Leave it to Trump to f*ck it up.

Reading this makes me want to jump on a plane and check into the Plaza! My favorite fantasy is to rent the Eloise room for my granddaughters. All black, white and pink, and it comes with a $100 room service credit so the girls can call and place an order for whatever strikes their fancy.
