Thank you, Linda! I really like Jim’s rules too. I need to get my act together. Perhaps I will pick up The Body if I can ever pick up a book again... so many fantastic people (you included) are recommending it!! Xoxo

Jennifer, I adore all of your interviews and I particularly love this one. Emily and Jim are charming.

Favorite line from Jim: "is whiskey considered a snack?"
Jim, Bourbon is considered an actual food group at our home. So, by relation, I think definitely - Yes!

Charming interview. Thrilled they are leading and serving through KIPP! KIPP is an important organization serving kids relentlessly! Bravo.

Thank you, Jennifer!

I thoroughly appreciate the perspectives and humor of these lovely people! Thank you, Jennifer, for introducing us to so many wonderful Nashvillians who help make our city so special. I am deeply grateful for the leadership groups who are thinking through how to support students, like those at KIPP, for whom distance learning is particularly challenging.

Super interview, particularly the five rules and MOST particularly, Rule One.

More than six decades ago. I was briefly aide to this brilliant admiral, and we flew back to Washington to marry off his beautiful daughter. My job, stand at the entrance to the aisle and say to each of the gorgeous bridesmaids as she entered the aisle, "Chin up. Stomach in. Chest out. Smile." They all went down with perfect posture and turned with miles of teeth to greet the bride on his arm.

On the way back to Hawaii on his plane, he woke from a brief nap, put his hand on my wrist and said, "You know, John, that's not bad advice for living your life."

He was right. So is Jim. Thanks!
