About
Hi! Thanks for stopping in at Bacon! It’s been up and running for 9 years now – a tiny homegrown book blog out of Nashville, Tennessee.
You can find some of my published book reviews at StyleBlueprint.
I’d love to hear from you! I’m always looking for the next great read. xoxo
Glad that “The Collected Stories of Eudora Welty” got on the list. I’m a Mississippian by birth and raising and am afraid that she gets overlooked. Ann Patchett has done a deep dive into Welty, after marrying into Mississippi. Patchett relates in her “These Precious Days” that Donna Tartt (from Greenwood, MS; author of “The Goldfinch”) told her once that “the reason it’s so impossible to write about Mississippi is that everyone thinks you’re exaggerating.” I really resonate with that thought.

It’s so wonderful to hear from you at Bacon, dear Bill! Working on this project has really made me want to revisit the stories of Eudora Welty. I bought a copy of the collection, introduced by Ann Patchett, and will be diving in soon! Xoxo
Jennifer, I read your pieces in StyleBlueprint, and enjoy them! I am trying to get the word out about my book, Theatre Is My Life! Can I get you a copy? Or, it is available on Amazon and in Birmingham at some local spots. You can read some of the entries, as well as new pieces, through the blogs on my website. Thanks!
Hello, Jennifer,
I would love to send you a PDF review file of my new essay collection All We Have Loved (Finishing Line Press, 2023). Thanks for letting me know how I might get that to you. I don’t see contact info. on your website.
Thanks,
Julia Nunnally Duncan
